Social Media Quick Start | A Checklist

In preparation for my presentation next week at the Plain Talk in Complex Times Conference, I have been thinking about what concrete takeaways I can provide the attendees. Inspiring presentations can help re-energize you and bring new perspective and focus to your work but inspiration alone quickly fades and providing people something concrete and tangible has lasting valuable.

At the same time as I have been preparing for the presentation, I have been reading Atul Gawande's book The Checklist Manifesto which espouses the benefits of, well, checklists. It is a very good book with valuable insight and I have investigating ways to use the techniques presented to help improve my work. One of the first outcomes of this is the Social Media Quick Start checklist. The intention of the checklist is to give people just getting started in social media a mechanism for doing so in a consistent and productive (though manageable) way. I would love to hear some comments on this as I realize it is far from perfect and far from complete. The one caveat being that I want to keep this to a one page document.

What do you think?
